?? WHEN INSTALLING OUR PRODUCTS – Check first if you have an available ground-fault protected outlet near the pipe where the heating cable is to be installed. If you don't, please have a qualified electrician install an outlet in accordance with all prevailing national/local codes and standards that is suitable for the location. The heating cable must be plugged in directly to the outlet.
?? SELF-REGULATING TECHNOLOGY – Self-regulating heating cables are a parallel type heating system that employs a dielectric material extruded between two conductors. As the temperature falls, the dielectric allows more current to flow between the two conductors, thus allowing more heating to be produced. As the temperature gets warmer, the current flow lessens, which allows the cable to cool.
?? HERE'S HOW TO PICK THE RIGHT LENGTH OF RPH 120V! - Total length of RPH 120V needed is (A) pipe length + (B) additional 1 foot for each valve or spigot. It is assumed 1/2” thick insulation is used with ambient temperature down to 0°F (-18°F). Use at least 1” thick insulation for freeze protection below 0°F (-18°F). FIBERGLASS ATTACHMENT TAPE is also included.
